Project Description
The location is the inner grid (the zone between the platforms and the North–South tunnel) at Brussels-North Station. The work carried out was the replacement of the cross wires in the flexible gantries. (These gantries support the overhead lines for the 12 tracks at Brussels-North.)
The length of certain spans was more than 80 metres.
The work was done on weekday nights with all the tracks out of service and the power switched off.
After each activity, it remained possible to use electric vehicles on each track.
The cross wires had tensile forces of up to 3000 kg.
